No new curved sensor for the Sony Xperia Z4?

Several months ago Sony presented a new curved sensor with better sensitivity and overal image quality. It was tipped that the sensor will be found in the Sony Xperia Z4, but the latest news say NOT. The camera sensor will be the IMX230 which has a phase detection and is a little bit improved over the sensor in Sony Xperia Z3, so it's only a little step forward. Anyways sony should really focus on imrpoving their camera software algorithm too which is the worst among others (like Samsung and Apple).

According to Sony Mobile Georgia, Sony Xperia Z4 is coming in four versions: normal, ULTRA, compact and....a surprise one! Take it with a grain of salt, but rumours about the xperia Z4 ULTRA have been there on the internet some months ago, and after that time, there was silence. Well hopefully it's true! Release date still uknown - some sources claim for may/june release, others point at IFA Berlin in September...

It's difficult to judge how real this concept/render is but, it has got a Meizu-like home button so there must be something in it.
