Synaptics fingerprint scanner in Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra?

Well, as mentioned earlier, Sony is indeed interrrested in implementing a fingerprint scanner into it's devices. It is too late for the Xperia Z4, but Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra may have it. At MWC there was the latest Synaptics fingerprint scanner pressented. It will be ready for production in Q3. Just read how it works, and where it can be implemented:

• Ultra-Slim Design – At 2.8mm thin, the VFS6170 fits into narrow spaces such as the edge of a device.
• Industrial Design – The VFS6170 can be incorporated into the side, volume rocker button for seamless integration and fewer, or no, cutouts to the front glass.
• Innovative Usage Model – A side-mounted fingerprint sensor can be activated with one-handed operation for an improved user experience.
• Lower System Cost – Moving the fingerprint sensor off the front glass eliminates the cost, complexity and yield loss associated with a front glass cutout.
